Plain Cover — Downward Bend

The plain cover with downward bend is a non-locking access cover where the cover plate edges fold downward, causing the cover to drop into the frame opening rather than rest on top of it. The top of the cover plate sits level with or just below the surrounding frame — a flush surface profile that eliminates any protruding edge at the hatch perimeter and reduces the chance of the cover being knocked off laterally, since the downward-bent edges engage the inside of the frame.

This cover is manually lifted for reservoir access — no fasteners, no locking mechanism required. The flush profile makes it suitable for locations where a smooth, level floor surface over the hatch is preferred and security locking is not a requirement. Typical applications include utility maintenance hatches, temporary covers during construction, and service openings in areas with controlled access. 2 mm cover plate, 3 mm frame, 1 mm peripheral gap. Custom to opening dimensions, AISI 304 or 316.
