Piston Cover — Downward Bend

The piston cover with downward bend has the cover plate edges folded downward, so the cover body drops into the frame opening rather than resting on top of it. The top of the cover plate sits flush with — or fractionally below — the surrounding frame, which in turn sits flush with the finished floor. This configuration eliminates any raised lip or step at the hatch perimeter, making it the preferred choice where foot traffic over the cover must be smooth and unobstructed.

The piston locking mechanism secures the cover from inside the reservoir, preventing uplift from water pressure and blocking unauthorised access. The combination of flush-floor finish and reliable piston lock makes this the right specification for reservoir hatches in high-traffic areas: maintenance corridors, plant rooms, and mikveh facilities where the cover sits in a walked pathway and must be both secure and comfortable to step over.
